Terms
Terms & Conditions
The terms this site, its quotations and the work arranged from it are governed by.
Acceptance of Terms
Requests submitted through cmmcalibrationoklahomacity.com, quotations issued in response to them, and the performance of CMM Calibration and Repair and related work arranged through this site are governed by the terms set out below. Either submitting a request or accepting a quotation issued in response to one is taken as acceptance of them. Precedence goes to a signed supply agreement or to agreed purchase-order terms already in place, to the extent of any conflict with these terms.

How a Request Is Reviewed
Review of the request happens first, before a quotation is issued, and it confirms three things: that the requirement is stated clearly and understood, that the method, range and measurement capability needed are available, and that the laboratory selected to carry out the work is competent to perform it.
Where a statement of conformity is required, the decision rule to be applied is agreed in writing before work begins, as is the specification the item is to be assessed against. Any requirement that changes after acceptance is reviewed again and confirmed to the customer before work continues. Any request that cannot be met as specified is either declined or returned with an alternative scope; it is not accepted and quietly reduced.
Who Performs the Work
The technical work described on this site is externally provided. Oklahoma City CMM Calibration and Repair operates cmmcalibrationoklahomacity.com as a marketing and referral website; it is not itself a calibration laboratory and does not perform the measurements described here. Requests submitted through this site are passed to external laboratories that hold their own accreditation, operate their own quality management systems, and issue their own certificates and reports.
External providers are selected against stated criteria: current accreditation and the scope of it, demonstrated capability for the specific measurement requested, traceability arrangements, and record of on-time delivery. Performance is monitored on an ongoing basis, and a provider that ceases to meet those criteria is not used. Where a customer specifies that work must not be subcontracted, that instruction is honored or the request is declined.
For that introduction the operator of this website receives payment. It may be a referral fee, a fixed fee for the use of this website, or a commission on work that is placed. Saying so here keeps the commercial relationship behind the site explicit rather than assumed. The price quoted is unchanged by it, and it gives the operator no role in performing, approving or certifying any measurement.
Quotations and Their Validity
Quotations are issued in writing, and each remains valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue unless the quotation states another period. The basis of the figure is the item description, quantity, measurement points, tolerances and turnaround supplied with the request.
Items do not always arrive as described. Additional channels, a wider range, damage, or a condition needing repair before measurement is possible each put work on hold while a revised quotation is issued, and the revision must be approved in writing before work proceeds.
Lead Times
Business days are the unit turnaround is quoted in, and the count starts at receipt of the item or receipt of written approval to proceed, whichever falls later. Expedited handling can be arranged where capacity allows, and is quoted separately. Commitments are given in good faith against current capacity; where one cannot be met, notice is given as soon as the delay is known, together with a revised date.
Items and Risk
Items should arrive in protective packaging adequate for transit, with any accessories, fixtures, cables or software needed to complete the work. Unless carriage has been arranged and charged on the quotation, transit risk in both directions rests with the customer.
Unsafe items, contaminated items, and items outside the condition accepted at review are returned unworked, with the reason stated. Completed items are held at the customer's risk once the collection or despatch period agreed on the quotation has ended.
Invoicing and Payment
Without a credit account approved in advance, certificates and items are released only against payment in full; with one, invoices fall due net thirty (30) days from the date of invoice.
Unless the quotation says otherwise, taxes, duties and carriage sit outside the quoted price. Interest at the lower of one and one-half percent (1.5%) per month or the maximum permitted by law may accrue on a balance left overdue, and further work may be suspended for as long as that balance stays unpaid.
Use of Certificates
The certificate or report comes from the laboratory performing the work, and stays that laboratory's technical record. Once paid in full, the customer has an unrestricted right to keep, copy and use the certificate for its own quality, audit and regulatory purposes.
Reproduction of the certificate is permitted only in full, since it is issued as a complete document; partial reproduction needs written approval. Its copies are retained for the period the performing laboratory's records policy sets, and reissued against the original certificate number.
Confidentiality
Everything obtained or created by a request — drawings, specifications, tolerances, measurement results, and even the existence of the engagement itself — stays confidential, available only to those who need it to complete the work, to a party the law requires disclosure to, or to an accreditation body exercising its rights of access.
Notification follows any disclosure the law compelled, reaching the customer unless giving that notification is itself prohibited.
Liability and Its Limits
Work is performed with reasonable skill and care, in accordance with the methods and standards stated on the quotation and on the resulting certificate. Where work is shown to be defective, the remedy is re-performance of the affected work, or a refund of the amount paid for it, at the customer's election.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, total liability arising out of any engagement is limited to the amount paid for the work giving rise to the claim, and no liability is accepted for loss of profit, loss of production, loss of contract, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Jurisdiction and Changes
The laws of Oklahoma apply to these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and a claim is brought in the courts of that jurisdiction unless a different forum has been agreed in writing.
Amendment is possible, and the version published at cmmcalibrationoklahomacity.com on the date a quotation is issued is the version that applies to that engagement. The privacy notice and data handling, the important disclaimer and the raising a concern or complaint set out the related terms.
